We never know how high we are
Till we are asked to rise

Our statures touch the skies-

The Heroism we recite
Would be a normal thing
Did not ourselves the Cubits warp

Non conosciamo mai la nostra altezza
sino a quando non siamo chiamati ad alzarci.
E se siamo fedeli al nostro piano originario
arriva al cielo la nostra statura-

L’eroismo di cui cantiamo le lodi
sarebbe cosa quotidiana, se noi stessi
non ci piegassimo di cubiti
